Central Documentation
jHelpCentral is a J2EE web application to read documentation in
JavaHelp
format stored on a server. It produces a help viewer comparable to the
typical JavaHelp viewer but it does not
require more than a web browser on the client side.
Dynamic client
Although limited to a web browser which normally allows
not much dynamic client interaction jHelpCentral features a graphical
tree view and full text search just as if it was running out of a Java
application.
Seamless integration
Help set content can be linked with web content directly
and transparently without the need for additional software. Web or
intranet content can be enriched with context sensitive help or in depth
documentation of content featured on respective web pages.
Simple use
jHelpCentral significantly simplyfies distribution of
information. A JavaHelp document can be made
available fast by just placing it in a server directory and adding a
link to jHelpCentral.
Excellent performance
Especially with large documents content can be accessed immediately as
jHelpCentral does not require the entire document to be loaded. The better a large document
is structured into sections, subsections and chapters the faster single
parts are shown while still the entire document structure can be
navigated.
